Want to get 'Green with MV'?
Summer 2007 Update
On Martha’s Vineyard, the Green with MV Program continues to raise community awareness to pressing environmental issues and reduce harmful emissions with practical conservation programs. To date, the CUPPS program has sold 360 corn-plastic mugs and the Earth Lung program has overseen the planting of 2,665 trees! These achievements have reduced CO2 emissions by 2.7 tons. Nantucket Soundkeeper – Martha’s Vineyard Program Director Dean Bragonier notes, “We have made significant strides towards accomplishing our goals. The response to Green with MV has been tremendous and it affirms our community’s commitment to tackling both local and global environmental issues.”
